The York Theatre, the premiere Off-Broadway Theatre for new works, in conjunction with The Penn State New Musical Theatre Festival and Cultural Conversations are jointly producing two new works of theatre to be premiered in New York City at the York Theater on April 5-6, 2008. |
These interesting new works will be performed by the students Penn State’s School of Theatre. Penn State at the York is a revolutionary new program conceived by Raymond Sage, Artistic Director of The Penn State New Musical Theatre Festival, Dr. Susan Russell, Artistic Director of Penn State’s Cultural Conversations and Jim Morgan and Bryan Blythe of the York Theatre. Penn State at the York bridges the gap between a performance-focused academic institution and America's finest professional theatres. This new program allows the Penn State School of Theatre students to work with professional writers, composers, and lyricists in a professional theatrical venue. |
